About Ms Rachel Walsh

Rachel embodies a deeply personalised approach to Movement Therapy, Purposeful Exercise and gentle movement Prescription, together with Self-Discovery. She infuses her practice with both wisdom and an evolving understanding of the human body and mind. With over 20 years of experience, she has guided numerous individuals through their personal journeys with warmth and expertise.

Originally, Rachel's journey began as a Support Facilitator for a community organisation, where she witnessed firsthand the transformative power of connection and movement in improving the lives of adults living with Mental Health Conditions and/or Physical Disabilities. This experience ignited her passion for empowering others to enhance their quality of life through holistic wellness practices.

Impulsed by her dedication to supporting others, Rachel pursued certifications in Personal Training and a Diploma of Fitness, eventually establishing herself as an Exercise Professional. Her journey led her to explore the intersection of movement and chronic illness, inspiring her to obtain a degree in Exercise Science (Clinical Practice) and Masters in Clinical Exercise Science and Rehabilitation.

Rachel's true calling lies in her work with individuals facing Hidden (Invisible) disabilities, particularly those navigating everyday challenges that often go unnoticed. Drawing from her own journey with Fibromyalgia (FMS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), Orthostatic Intolerance (OI), Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Rachel brings a unique understanding and empathy to her patients' experiences.

What sets Rachel apart is her innate ability to connect deeply with those she serves. This authenticity stems from her own journey, where she faced skepticism and misunderstanding from medical professionals, workplaces, friends and family. Despite these challenges, Rachel emerged stronger and more resilient, fuelling her commitment to breaking down barriers for others.

In her practice, Rachel prioritises building trusting and collaborative relationships with her clients. She listens attentively to their stories, concerns, and goals, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to their individual needs. Through her unwavering dedication, Rachel seeks to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves, embodying a genuine love and care for each person who enters her door.
